Lagna or Moon whether positioned in mobile, fixed or dual sign will determines basic traits of a person. Fixed signs are stable and determined; Movable signs are characterized by their transient nature; Dual signs oscillate between being mobile and stationary.

The ascendant if a mobile sign and its lord is also positioned in a mobile sign, it indicates a travel bug or someone very fond of traveling and mobile in life. Similarly if the ascendant is a fixed sign and its lord is also positioned in a fixed sign, the individual will not be very mobile, rather stationed at one location. Similar rule applies for an individual born in a dual sign with its lord positioned in dual sign, indicates both, a fondness for extensive traveling but also likes to stationed.

New work is normally initiated during the fixed signs, for the obvious reason. Similar would be the approach when moving to own house, where fixed sign is chosen. Journey could be embarked in a mobile sign.
